Where Am I?

Sometimes I still wake up, now sure of where I am. On the mission sometimes you wake up from a dream and forget where you are. Aka you dream about being home and with friends and family and wake up thinking you are really there. Only to realize you are still thousands of miles away. Now the opposite is happening. I dream about being back on the mission and wake up only to realize that I am not a missionary. Not in Brasil. Not with any of my old comps. But yes, in quiet little Farmington Utah. It is going to take a little more getting used to.

So short update. Went to the singles ward yesterday. Totally rocked. So much better than the home ward. Kind of weird too though. Weird to see all these familiar faces from high school. But ya know, it is part of life I guess. Still trying to find a job. Hate job searching. All part of life unfortunately. No idea what I am going to study come fall. But I do really want school to start. I am taking an institute class up at the U and it is great to be up on campus.

To end, a fun mission pic.
Yep, shirt, tie, and 100+ degree weather. Gotta love summer as a missionary

Homecoming. Check

Well, there is that off the list. I didnt realize how hard it was going to be to give that talk today. The language really was a great struggle for me. I kept wanting to speak in portugues. Really hard to speak in english. I also didnt realize how different it was going to be to speak as just a normal member rather than a missionary. Maybe that was just part of the whole language thing. At any rate, it really was quite difficult for me trying to speak today. But in the end it all came out well enough. Now on with the rest of life.

Right now the plans are pretty simple. School in August. Back to the UofU. We will see what I actually end up studying. I still need to get all that figured out. I thought it would be great returning to college as a junior and already having all my generals taking care of. No I am not so sure how I feel about it. It is tough having to just jump back into the thick of things. But I got a bit of time to figure it all out I guess. Until then it is just going to be work, work, work. Hopefully I can earn some good money and get a good financial basis. Need to get my life up to date technologically. And I need to get some new clothes. Maybe you wont believe it, but I am abandoning my signature style of shorts. All this week I have been wearing jeans--something unheard of for me. But it is time for a fashion update. I am open to any suggestions haha. What other changes? Need a phone. We will see when I decided to take care of that. It is nice not having a phone. What else? I think for this year that is it. Next year will be the mission to get myself a car. We shall see.

So yeah, my plans for the next little bit. Nothing to exciting. I will just have to find a way to make it a little more exciting. Love you all!

Tudo Bem?!

Well, two years goes by really fast. To be honest I was just going to delete this blog, but I got stuck while writing my homecoming talk and needed something to distract me. So, here I am writing a little blurb. It is pretty hard to believe I am actually home. It feels like I was just in some kind of weird two year time lock. I feel like everything is exactly the same as how I left it. Maybe that will start changing as I get out and about more and start seeing people. So far the first few days have been good. Nothing to exciting or special, but nonetheless good. I really miss the mission. It is different to not go out teaching every day. I really miss that. I miss talking about the gospel all day every day. I have no idea what I am going to do with my life yet. I wont start school until next Fall so I have awhile to work and try and get my life established financially. We will just have to see what comes my way. Even with the best laid plans, we must always "plan to be surprised." Tomorrow is the homecoming talk. Bright and early at 9am. I will try and post the talk up here another day. Well I think that may be it for now. So until another day! Love you all!
